Privacy Policy – Deers Connect

1.Introduction

Deers Connect is a Chrome extension designed to help you retrieve and locally use your LinkedIn cookies (li_a, li_at), your browser User-Agent, and public connection information (IP address, country).

We attach great importance to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we process your data.

2.Data collected

The extension does not collect or transmit your data to any external server. The following data may be accessible and stored locally in your browser:

• LinkedIn cookies (li_a, li_at)
• Your browser User-Agent
• Public IP address
• Country code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2) and country name

This data is only used to:

• Display it in the extension popup.
• Copy it to your clipboard upon request.
• Send it to your local or web applications you explicitly allow (localhost, deers.fr, deers.com).

3.Storage and retention

All data is stored only in your browser’s local storage via chrome.storage.local.

It is kept as long as the extension remains installed or until you delete it by clearing local storage or uninstalling the extension.

4.Data sharing

No sharing of your data with third parties is performed.

Data leaves your device only if you voluntarily copy it or send it to an application of your choice.

5.Security

We use official Chrome APIs (cookies, storage, tabs, scripting) and the minimum permissions required for the extension to function properly.

No unsecured data transmission over the Internet is performed.

6.Your rights

Since the extension does not collect your data on external servers, you keep full control:

• You can clear local storage via your browser settings.
• You can uninstall the extension at any time to permanently delete all data.
